Steve Krieser serves as executive assistant of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), working to shape policies that guide the department and oversee legislative and communication activities.

Krieser most recently served as the central office operations chief for WisDOT’s Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV), Bureau of Field Services. Prior to that, he was a consumer protection supervisor for the Dealer Investigator Unit in the DMV Bureau of Vehicle Services.

Krieser previously was the legislative liaison for vehicle issues for DMV. He also served in various staff positions for the Wisconsin Legislature, including positions as chief of staff to several lawmakers in Wisconsin's Assembly and Senate and as the executive assistant to the Assembly Sergeant at Arms. He has staffed the Senate Committee on Labor and the Joint Committee for Review of Administrative Rules, among others.

He has a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater.
