for Employment Workshops focus on connections
WisDOT and the Wisconsin Transportation Builders Association are again teaming to offer two sessions of the Partnering for Employment in Highway Construction Workshop in 2008:
The Partnering for Employment Workshop theme for this year is "Paving the Future on a Foundation of Diversity." Each event will review opportunities and challenges to developing and maintaining a strong and diverse labor force in highway construction. The conferences will include a morning workshop with presentations from WisDOT, FHWA and contractors focusing on equal opportunity and civil rights issues. In the afternoon, contractors will be able to meet M-TrANS graduates and other prospective employees in speed-networking sessions. Any contractors currently registered in the Civil Rights Compliance System should have received information and registration materials for the workshops via e-mail in mid-January. If you have not received materials or need additional information, contact Liz Johnson of WisDOT at (608) 261-0131. |
