I-94 North-South Freeway reconstruction begins

Governor Jim Doyle officially kicks off the I-94 North-South Freeway Project on Monday, March 23 at the College Avenue park and ride lot in Milwaukee. Joined by contractors, laborers, the project team and elected officials, the Governor and Transportation Secretary Frank Busalacchi committed to building a safe and efficient transportation infrastructure and providing jobs for Wisconsin's future. The project will expand about 35 miles from the Mitchell Interchange in Milwaukee through Racine and Kenosha counties to the state line. Visit the new construction Web site for project details.
