US 41 Project Contractors' Conference

US 41 Project Contractor's ConferenceOver 500,000 tons of asphalt; nearly three million square yards of concrete pavement; four million tons of crushed rock. Those are some of the quantities of materials that will be used on the US 41 Project in Brown and Winnebago Counties in the next five to seven years, which will be a gargantuan undertaking by road construction contractors and subcontractors in the area. A ballroom full of prime and subcontractors, including 10 Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) companies, five working toward DBE certification and 23 TrANS graduates, turned out April 27 at the Oneida Radisson in Green Bay for an overview of the entire US 41 Project.

The meeting, hosted by the WisDOT NE Region, included presentations by Mike Berg, NE Region Director, Brett Wallace, Highway 41 Corridor Projects Group Manager, and the entire US 41 Team.
