North-South Freeway update
Eight contracts for the I-94
North-South Freeway project have indicated commitments to meet or exceed
the DBE goals on their projects:
- 27th Street Bridges, Milwaukee
County: Zenith Tech; Goal: 10%; Commitment: 11.76%
- Airport Spur westbound bridge,
Grange Ave. Overpass and College Ave Interchange, Milwaukee County:
Hoffman; Goal: 10%: Commitment: 11.86%
- Traffic Mitigation, Rawson Ave; 13th
Street and WIS 38; WIS 38 and WIS 119, Milwaukee County: J & A
Pohl: Goal: 15%: Commitment: 29.93%
- College Avenue Intersection,
Milwaukee County: Payne and Dolan; Goal: 15%: Commitment: 15.23%
- Traffic signal upgrades and
modifications, Milwaukee County: Habermehl Electric; Goal: 15%:
Commitment: 95.60%
- County E Frontage Roads, Kenosha
County: Hoffman; Goal: 10%: Commitment: 12.10%
- County C Frontage Roads, Kenosha
County: Michels Corporation; Goal: 12%: Commitment: 12.05%
- WIS 158 Frontage Roads, Kenosha
County: Hoffman; Goal: 12%: Commitment: 12.72%
Three contracts have been awarded as
part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) from a special
letting held on April 28. The following contractors have been awarded
those projects:
- County G Interchange, Racine County:
Zignego, DBE Goal 16%
- WIS 50 to IL State Line mainline
including County C Interchange, Kenosha County: Walsh Construction
Group, DBE Goal 16%
- CTH G Fencing, Racine County:
Highway Landscapers, DBE Goal 25%

currently advertised for the letting on June 9, 2009.

No meeting minutes will be prepared,
