US 41 Project — May lets

Three significant projects of the US 41 expansion in Winnebago County will go to bid in May as part of special lettings utilized by WisDOT for the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Most of the work is taking place within or near the city of Oshkosh on or adjacent to US 41. The projects include work on two overpasses, building of three roundabouts and the reconstruction or realignment of adjacent roads.

Included is a brief summary of those three projects, with project ID, project description, and DBE goal assigned to each:

  1. #1120-11-71: Witzel Overpass/Washburn Street: DBE goal 7%
  • Replacement of the Witzel Avenue overpass, Washburn Street reconstruction and Washburn Street and Koeller Street roundabouts. Replacement of Washburn Street and Koeller Street structures over Sawyer Creek
  1. #1120-11-72: May let: Fountain/Snell Road Overpass: DBE goal 10%
  • Construction of a new Fountain Avenue/Snell Road overpass at US 41.
  1. #1120-11-73: May let: US 45/Fernau/Lake Butte des Morts Drive Roundabout: DBE goal 12%
  • Realignment/reconstruction of Lake Butte des Morts Drive, West Fernau Avenue, Snell Road, and Stillman Drive. Roundabout on US 45 at new Lake Butte des Morts Drive/Fernau Avenue intersection.
