Economic recovery Web sites are a great resource
The Wisconsin Office of Recovery and Reinvestment site provides information on ARRA grants and projects in all program categories, not just transportation. You can search the site for information on specific funding opportunities or use the handy map to view funding that's already been distributed in each county. The site also provides a number of quick links for easy access to employment, tax and business assistance information. WisDOT's Web site contains easy links to various federal agencies, contains project eligibility details and funding updates on state highway, local road and bridge, airport, rail and transit projects. Check out the approval and delivery sections for state and local projects for important information on past and future bid advertisements, project lettings and contract administration requirements. You'll want to review training information, special payroll guidance and quality assurance checklist for ARRA projects. WisDOT will also be posting monthly reports on the site to provide up-to-date financial, labor and DBE data on projects under construction in 2009. The last letting for ARRA projects in 2009 is set for July 28, but additional contract lettings will take place in early 2010. |
