I-94 North-South Freeway Project DBE Contracting Update

Five contracts have been awarded from lettings in June and July on the I-94 North-South Freeway Project to the following contractors.

1. Layton Avenue Bridge, B-40-820, Steel Fabrication: PDM Bridge; DBE Goal: 15%
2. Bolivar Avenue Realignment: Lalonde Contractors; DBE Goal: 20%
3. N-S Freeway, Utilities Contract: Super Excavators; DBE Goal: 12% 
4. State Line to STH 50 Fencing: Highway Landscapers; DBE Goal: 40%
5. Traffic Mitigation, STH 38 (Howell Ave) & Layton Ave: Stark Asphalt; DBE Goal: 20%

The following opportunities are currently advertised for the letting on August 11, 2009.

Prop 3. N-S Freeway — CTH KR Interchange, Stream Relocation; Kenosha County; 1035-03-74, WISC 2009 627; Local; 0.000 Miles; Grading, Asphalt Paving, Coarse Aggregate, and Rootstock Vegetation.

Guaranty Required $6,000.00

Estimate of Principal Items: Excavation Common, 2,740 CY; Breaker Run, 70 CY; Construction Staking, 1 LS; Storm Sewer / Culvert Pipe Reinforced Concrete Horizontal Elliptical, 24 LF 34" X 53"; Asphaltic Surface, 25 Ton; Rootstock Vegetation, 562 Each; Coir Logs, 460 LF; Coarse Aggregate Mix for Stream Bed, 125 Ton.

DBE Goal: 20 % Contract Completion Date: November 15, 2009
