Opportunity arises for insurance-related firms

WisDOT has subcontracting opportunities for firms who provide administrative services for Owner Controlled Insurance Programs (OCIP) i.e., safety, drug testing and drug testing lab analysis, medical management, and claims management services through the WisDOT OCIP request for proposals for Insurance Brokers.

The department is planning to use an OCIP on both the I-94 North-South Corridor and US 41 expansion projects and is inviting minority and disadvantaged businesses to attend the upcoming conference on Tuesday, July 22, 2008. WisDOT is committed to continuing the participation of minority and disadvantaged firms on upcoming projects building on the efforts from the Marquette Interchange Project that yielded more than $120 million in minority contacts.

The conference will include a networking session for prime vendors and targeted business enterprise firms from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Date: Tuesday, July 22, 2008
Time: 9:00 am - 12:30 pm
Place: WisDOT Milwaukee office, 1001 W St. Paul Avenue, Milwaukee

The proposal notices are on the Internet at: http://www.publicnotices.wi.gov/Notices.asp, using the keyword "OCIP."
