23rd Annual DBE
Workshop and Secretary's Awards Program
The 23rd Annual DBE Workshop and
Secretary's Awards Program will be held at the Country Springs Hotel in
Waukesha on December 12. This event provides an entire day of
opportunities to establish contacts to build strong working
relationships within the industry, learn about current and future
contracts, become more familiar with how WisDOT does business and hear
from agency and organization representatives on mutual goals and
objectives.
Program highlights include:
- Panel discussions
Provide opportunities to speak directly with some of the leading
contracting, and prime consulting firms in the industry who will be
on hand to answer questions, share their experiences and
expectations working in the construction and transportation
industry.
- Speed networking
Provide the opportunity to gain one-on-one time with contracting and
prime consulting firms to highlight your firm's services, goals, and
capacity.
- Listening sessions
Listen to information from industry and business sources regarding
current business and industry trends that can affect how you do
business.
- Breakout sessions
These are geared to business, technical, and some financial aspects
of working with WisDOT. They will cover how WisDOT establishes
overhead rates, overhead rates and auditing requirements, and
WisDOT's DBE Audits process; get information on contracting
opportunities for WisDOT projects including US 41, I-94 Corridor,
the Zoo Interchange, and more.
