As the Marquette Interchange work wraps up and the I-94 North-South Corridor sets up for construction in 2009, WisDOT is beginning to study the Zoo Interchange as the next southeast freeway reconstruction project. At the end of 2007, WisDOT signed a $7.7 million contract with the Forward 45 consortium to help the department on an environmental and engineering study of the interchange. (more...)


Commerce appoints new minority business director

The Wisconsin Department of Commerce recently named E. Aggo Akyea to be its new director of the Bureau of Minority Business Development. Akyea had most recently been the minority business enterprise purchasing coordinator for WisDOT. (more...)


Partnering workshops focus on success stories

More than 100 participants representing many different contractors and consultants attended WisDOT's Partnering for Employment workshops held in Keshena and Waukesha last month. The theme for both workshops was "Paving the future on a foundation of diversity." (more...)
