Wisconsin Erosion Control Product Acceptability List (PAL)

In an effort to provide leadership and guidance to the stewardship of Wisconsin's environment, the Erosion Control Storm Water Committee has developed a Product Acceptability List (PAL). This list provides guidance in installation and proper use of erosion and sediment control products. This list contains products that have been approved for use on State of Wisconsin airport, structure and highway projects.

The Erosion Control Storm Water Committee Product Acceptability List pages are for the guidance of design engineers, technicians, and inspection personnel, municipalities, counties, contractors, and suppliers engaged in bridge and highway design, plan preparation, and construction for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT). It is prepared to encourage uniform application of designs, standard details in plan preparation, and field installation of erosion and sediment control devices, practices, and other related items.

Although the material in the Erosion Control Storm Water Committee Product Acceptability List Web pages has been tested, caused to be tested or reviewed for compliance by the Erosion Control Storm Water Committee, no warranty, expressed or implied, is made by WisDOT as to the accuracy of the material in these pages, nor shall the fact of distribution constitute any such warranty, and responsibility is not assumed by WisDOT in connection therewith.

This is a list maintained for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation projects. It may not be a complete list of all applicable practices for private and commercial projects administered or permitted through either the Department of Commerce or the Department of Natural Resources. Please contact those agencies directly for alternate approval methods.
