Average daily traffic

The amount of traffic on a Wisconsin Interstate segment varies due to a number of reasons including seasons, weather, holidays, proximity to a community and other factors that can impact traffic volume at a particular point along a segment. The following data is intended to provide a general idea of the amount of motor vehicles that might travel an Interstate segment - all lanes in both directions - during an "average" day during the year. For example, it could be said that "the 66-mile segment of I-94 between Hudson and Eau Claire carries some 50,000 vehicles on an average day."
