U.S. DOT Pedestrian Safety
Through education, enforcement, and outreach, the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration's (NHTSA) pedestrian and bicycle safety programs are directed toward reducing pedestrian and bicycle injuries and fatalities. The site has biking and walking safety publications, information on helmets, children and older adults.

These two sites are sponsored by Pedestrian and Bicycle Information Center (PBIC) which was established to connect communities with the information and resources they need to create safe places for walking and bicycling.  The site includes information on crashes, design, promotional ideas, planning and education.

League of American Bicyclists
The League of American Bicyclists promotes bicycling for fun, fitness and transportation and works through advocacy and education. The site provides advocacy information, nationwide information on biking events and links to other biking pages.

National Center for Bicycling and Walking
This site is designed to support the activities and initiatives of people working across the country, in their professional work and private lives, to make America a better place to walk and to bicycle. The site focuses on issues of public health, including physical activity promotion, chronic disease prevention and environmental health, as well as transportation, land use, public safety and injury prevention.  

International Bicycle Fund
A non-governmental, nonprofit, advocacy organization, promoting sustainable transport and international understanding. Major areas of activity are non-motorized urban planning, economic development, bike safety education, responsible travel and cycle tourism, and cross-cultural, educational programs.  The site includes a wide variety of information on international cycling issues and links to information world wide.

Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin (BFW)
The BFW is a statewide, non-profit organization that advocates increased bicycle use, access, safety and education. The site includes an events calendar, biking articles and columns, and The Wisconsin Bicyclist Newspaper.

This site features up to date biking news and links to bike resources of all types, including bike races, local clubs, retailers, manufacturers, events, photographs, etc.
