Safe Routes to School - Applications

New Applications for the 2013-2014 Safe Routes to School (SRTS) program cycle will be available in late March 2012.

Beginning with the projects awarded in 2010, local sponsors constructing projects requiring a LLC must attend a one-day training session. The training session instructs sponsors on the local letting process and results in certification to administer and deliver these projects. The updated Sponsor's Guide (January 14, 2011) and the Certification form are available below. The third document provides clarification on administrative functions local sponsors are expected to fund 100% locally.

Five certification training sessions were held from February 9 to March 1 of 2011. The presentation slides PDF image (448 KB) are available to download.

For more information contact Renee Callaway at (608) 266-3973 or via email at srts@dot.wi.gov.
