Local Roads Improvement Program Web System

First-time user

The Local Roads Improvement Program (LRIP) Web System is an Extranet Web application. The system is a management tool to assist WisDOT LRIP program managers, the program administrator and county highway commissioners in administering LRIP.

The system also provides read-only access to authorized representatives of local government for managing their LRIP projects.

Most individuals logging onto the LRIP Web System to administer or monitor projects will already have a Wisconsin User ID, because it is the same personal ID used to access other state agency Extranet applications, such as WISLR.

Please note that both 1) a Wisconsin User ID, and 2) authorization to the LRIP Web System are required.

Activating a Wisconsin User ID and requesting authorization to the LRIP Web System

Please complete the first 4 steps below if you need to establish a Wisconsin User ID (skip steps 1-4 if you already have a Wisconsin User ID):

  • Step 1: Sign-on process
  • Step 2: Requesting a Wisconsin User ID and password
  • Step 3: Activating your account
  • Step 4: Logout

Technical requirements

The LRIP Web System does not have any special or unique technical requirements for access. A computer with a Web browser and an Internet connection should be able to access the LRIP Web System, provided it meets the minimum requirements. You will not need to download any additional software or plug-ins onto your computer. For more information regarding minimum requirements for connecting to the Web System, please see the Extranet System Requirements page on the WisDOT Internet site.

Troubleshooting

See the Extranet FAQs page on the WisDOT Internet site for additional questions related to system requirements, establishing a Wisconsin User ID or for connectivity problems. If you believe your computer meets the minimum requirements, but you still cannot access the site, contact the DOT Computer Help Desk at (608) 266-9434 or (800) 362-3050. Please make sure to read the LRIP Web System Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page for additional information.
