Bus/transit
Public transit is a major player in helping people reach jobs, shopping, school and home. Wisconsin has 81 public bus and shared-ride taxi systems.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation administers a number of programs to support public transit in many forms throughout the state, whether for operating assistance, capital needs, or special needs such as transportation for people with disabilities.
