Semi crashes on I-94 in St. Croix County - update
February 28, 2012
Highway repairs underway
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is currently repairing I-94 that was damaged after the semi crash yesterday morning.
Crews are milling off the damaged pavement and WisDOT plans to open both lanes of westbound I-94 within the hour. Motorists should be aware of the rough pavement in the area and the posted reduced speed. WisDOT will evaluate when permanent repairs can be made to the highway.
Weight limits on WIS 65 have been posted at 40 tons. The bridge is structurally sound and was not compromised, however it is being replaced as part of an already scheduled improvement plan that will construct a new interchange at the location beginning this summer.
