Traffic alert: Daytime closures scheduled week of March 12 near Marquette Interchange

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is announcing daytime temporary lane and ramp closures on I-43/94, just south of the Marquette Interchange, the week of March 12. The temporary closures are needed so crews can perform routine inspections on the I-43/94 bridge over the Menomonee River Valley.
The week of March 12, the following closures are scheduled from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m:
- Monday, March 12: Right lane closure on the Marquette Interchange system ramp from I-94 eastbound (EB) to I-43/94 southbound (SB).
- Tuesday, March 13 and Wednesday, March 14: Full closure of the I-43/94 SB exit ramp to National Avenue and the Marquette Interchange system ramp from I-794 westbound (WB) to I-43/94 SB. Traffic from I-794 WB can proceed to I-43 northbound (NB), exit at McKinley Avenue/Fond du Lac Avenue, and re-enter the freeway to access I-43 southbound (SB).
- Thursday, March 15: Full closure of the National Avenue entrance ramp to I-43/94 NB and the Marquette Interchange system ramp from I-43/94 NB to I-794 EB. Traffic can continue to McKinley Avenue/Fond du Lac Avenue, and re-enter I-43 SB to access I-794 EB.
- Friday, March 16: Full closure of the National Avenue entrance ramp to I-43/94 NB.
Temporary daytime single lane closures on I-43/94 in this area are also scheduled as part of this work. All scheduled closures are weather-dependent and subject to change.
WisDOT reminds motorists to pay attention to roadside signs and drive carefully in the work zone.
