Public meeting for I-39/90 and WIS 11 (Racine Street) interchange project in Rock County

March 13, 2012

A public information meeting will occur on Wednesday, March 28 to discuss the preliminary design of the I-39/90 and WIS 11 (Racine Street) interchange in the city of Janesville. The meeting will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the city of Janesville’s Municipal Building, Room 416 (fourth floor), 18 North Jackson Street, Janesville, WI 53545.

There are two design alternatives being proposed: A diamond interchange with traffic signals, and a diamond interchange with roundabouts. This project is in the early design stages, but has an accelerated schedule with final plans due in November 2012.

Construction is currently scheduled for 2013.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project.

Citizens who are deaf or hard of hearing and require an interpreter may request one by contacting Jim Oettinger at least three working days prior to the meeting.
