Governor approves I-94 improvements
March 15, 2012
As part of his efforts to create jobs and make sure Wisconsin is open for business, Governor Scott Walker recently signed a $24,762,161.36 contract to improve the WIS 65 interchange of I-94 between Hudson and Menomonie in St. Croix County. Construction is scheduled to begin in March 2012.
Chippewa Concrete Services Inc. of Chippewa Falls is the prime contractor of the project. They will reconstruct the interchange as part of the state’s highway rehabilitation program.
Construction is scheduled for completion by November 2013, according to Dave Solberg, project manager for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
