WIS 29 lane closures scheduled in Marathon County

March 16, 2012

Crews are planning single, daytime lane closures on WIS 29 in the Wausau area beginning Monday, March 19. The lane closures are necessary for crews to repair guardrail along the highway.

Motorists can expect to encounter lane closures on the eastbound WIS 29 ramp to southbound US 51.

When crews are working at the westbound WIS 29 ramp to southbound I-39/US 51 motorists will encounter a shoulder closure, a lane restriction of 14 feet, and an advisory speed reduction through the work zone. This work is scheduled to occur on Tuesday, March 20 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

All work is scheduled for completion by the end of the day Friday, March 23. The closures are subject to change based on weather conditions.

Motorists are reminded to slow down in the work zone and be alert for slow moving vehicles.
