Public meeting for WIS 71 in Monroe County

Meeting to focus on improvements to highway

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Southwest Region will hold a public information meeting to discuss the proposed improvement project on WIS 71 from WIS 16 to County Road U in Monroe County. The meeting is scheduled from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at the Norwalk Village Hall, 208 Church Street, Norwalk.

This segment of WIS 71 is currently in poor condition. Project improvements include resurfacing and guardrail improvements. The project is scheduled for 2013 construction.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project. The meeting will follow an open house format, with a short presentation at 4:30. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.

Written comments regarding the project can be mailed to Robert Winterton, WisDOT, 3550 Mormon Coulee Road, La Crosse, WI 54601. Citizens who are deaf or hard of hearing and require an interpreter may request one by contacting Robert Winterton at least three working days prior to the meeting.
