Lane closures scheduled in Marathon County next week

Crews are planning single, daytime lane closures on US 51 in the Wausau area beginning Monday, March 26. The lane closures are necessary for crews to repair guardrail. Work will occur at the following locations:

• Southbound US 51 near the Big River Bridge
• Southbound US 51 between Marathon County K and County U in Wausau

Work is scheduled for completion by the end of the day Friday, March 30. The dates of the closures are subject to change based on weather conditions.

Motorists are reminded to slow down in the work zone and be alert for slow moving vehicles.
