Annual bridge inspections scheduled in Brown/Winnebago counties

Motorists should anticipate traffic backups

(Green Bay) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing a series of bridge inspections for April 2 through April 5. These are routine bridge inspections, but will result in some traffic impacts.

Monday, April 2

  • WIS 116 bridge in Winneconne – 9 to 11 a.m. - one lane open with flagging operations
  • Racine Street bridges in Menasha – 1 to 3 p.m. – one lane open with flagging operations

Tuesday, April 3

  • Main Street bridge (US 45) in Oshkosh – 8 to 10 a.m. – lane closures
  • Oregon Street bridge in Oshkosh – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. – lane closures
  • Congress Avenue bridge (WIS 21) in Oshkosh – 2 to 4 p.m. – lane closures

Wednesday, April 4

  • Walnut Street bridge (WIS 29) in Green Bay – 8 to 11 a.m.  – lane closures
  • Nitschke Bridge (Main Street/US 141) – in Green Bay – 1 to 3 p.m. – lane closures

Thursday, April 5

  • WIS 96 bridge in Wrightstown – 8 to 11 a.m. – one lane open with flagging operations
  • Mason Street bridge (WIS 54) in Green Bay – 1 to 3 p.m. – lane closures

Motorists should anticipate traffic back-ups, use caution and remain alert when driving through these or any work zones.
