Highway weight restriction removal dates announced

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) North Central Region today announced the schedule for lifting the springtime posted road weight restrictions on some of the region’s state highways.

Posted road weight restrictions on the following highways will be lifted on Monday, April 9, 2012:

  • WIS 54, Wood County, Jackson County line to WIS 80 and south intersection of WIS 80 to one mile west of WIS 73
  • WIS 173, Wood County, north intersection with WIS 80 to intersection with Wood County G
  • WIS 107, Lincoln County, Marathon County line to WIS 64
  • WIS 107, Lincoln County, Mathew’s Road to Lincoln County S
  • WIS 153, Marathon County, Marathon County J to Shawano County line
  • WIS 153, Shawano County, Marathon County line to US 45
  • WIS 107, Marathon County, Marathon County A to the Lincoln County line
  • WIS 55, Forest County, Argonne to the Michigan State line
  • WIS 52, Forest County, Langlade County line to Smith Road
  • WIS 52, Langlade County, WIS 55 to the Forest County line

Posted road weight restrictions for WIS 122 and WIS 169 in Iron County, and Class II roadway weight restrictions are still in effect. Additional information and updates for weight limit restrictions can be found on the WisDOT Web site.
