Annual bridge inspections scheduled in northeast Wisconsin

Motorists should anticipate traffic backups

(Green Bay) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing a series of bridge inspections for April 9 through April 12. These are routine bridge inspections, but will result in some traffic impacts.

Monday, April 9

  • Oneida Street bridge in Appleton – 9 to 11 a.m. – lane closures

Tuesday, April 10

  • US 8 interstate bridge in Marinette County – 8 to 11 a.m. – traffic controlled by flagging operations.
  • US 141 interstate bridge in Niagara  – 1 to 3 p.m. – lane closures

Wednesday, April 11

  • Michigan Street bridge in Sturgeon Bay – 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. – bridge closed to vehicle traffic and pedestrians.
  • Oregon Street Bridge in Sturgeon Bay – 1 to 3 p.m. – lane closures

Motorists should anticipate traffic back-ups, use caution and remain alert when driving through these or any work zones.
