Traffic alert: Web-based travel information systems statewide temporarily unavailable

Due to a communications network upgrade underway at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), web-based travel information systems are temporarily unavailable.

WisDOT technical staff worked through the night to minimize duration of this outage and associated impacts to travelers and media. Camera images, freeway overhead signing and travel times may be sporadic as we work through restoration of communication.

While web-based data feed is inactive, the statewide traffic operations center staff can view real-time traffic video. We continue to partner with law enforcement for active traffic monitoring and incident response.
