Traffic alert: Motorist tips for holiday weekend travel

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is encouraging motorists to drive carefully in Wisconsin this holiday weekend, as normal holiday and special event travel is expected to add to the number of vehicles on the road.
Motorists are reminded that long-term lane reductions exist on I-94 eastbound in Milwaukee County near Miller Park, and are encouraged to give themselves extra time to get to their destination.
WisDOT is also currently upgrading a communications network, and some web-based travel information systems are temporary unavailable. Find the latest traffic information in each region throughout Wisconsin on Twitter at:
