WIS 173/Wood County G intersection scheduled to close Monday

WIS 173 traffic will be detoured for approximately five weeks

Crews are planning to close the intersection of WIS 173 and Wood County G in the town of Port Edwards beginning Monday, April 30. The closure is necessary for crews to reconstruct the intersection and complete drainage improvements.

During construction on the WIS 173/County G intersection, WIS 173 traffic will be detoured via County G and County GG. The intersection is currently scheduled to reopen by the Memorial Day weekend.

The project also includes repaving County G between WIS 54 and WIS 173. County G will be closed and detoured to through traffic via WIS 54 and County GG. The road will remain open to local traffic. The County G improvements are currently scheduled for completion in mid-June 2012.

The schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions and construction status.
