Drexel Interchange groundbreaking planned - Governor Walker will speak

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) in Waukesha is announcing a groundbreaking ceremony to be held for the new Drexel Interchange on Friday, May 4, 2012. The interchange is the first all new interchange in Milwaukee County since the completion of the original expressway work in the late 1970’s. Transportation Secretary Mark Gottlieb, P.E. will host the event which will include state and local dignitaries, and Governor Walker will speak and take part in the groundbreaking.

Time: Friday, May 4, 9:30 am.
Location: St. Mary’s Coptic Church, 1521 W. Drexel Avenue, Oak Creek
Note: Due to construction, access to the event is from 13th Street. Exit Rawson, head east to 13th Street, south to Drexel, then west to St. Mary’s parking lot.
