I-39/US 51 northbound single lane closure scheduled in Rothschild

Closure scheduled to last approximately three weeks, traffic backups possible

Crews will reduce northbound I-39/US 51, at the Business 51 interchange in Rothschild, to a single lane beginning Monday, May 7 at 6 a.m.

The closure is necessary for crews to complete pavement work between the Business 51 bridge and the Wisconsin River Bridge. The speed limit at this location will be reduced to 55 mph.

Motorists are reminded to drive with caution in the work zone and be alert for slow moving vehicles and potential traffic backups. To avoid any delays motorists may want to use alternate routes.

Work is scheduled for completion by the end of the day Wednesday, May 23. The schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions and construction status.
