WIS 32 crossing I-43 in Sheboygan County now open

Work continues on I-43 project

(Green Bay) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing WIS 32 where it crosses I-43 in Sheboygan County near Cedar Grove has reopened. It had been closed since March 12.

The bridge had been closed as part of a $14.5 million on-going project covering 24 miles of I-43 from the Sheboygan County line to WIS 42. Work includes paving, 8 new bridges, 3 bridge overlays, 2 deck replacements, beam guard, concrete base patching, ramp closure gates, law enforcement pads, and pavement marking.

These closures continue as part of the project:

  • Lane closures on I-43, northbound and southbound, from WIS 23 to WIS 42.
  • Lane closures on WIS 23, between I-43 and County Y.
  • Bi-directional traffic exists on the I-43 northbound, from WIS 23 to WIS 42.
  • County O and County J, under I-43, in the town of Sheboygan, are closed.
  • WIS 42 southbound on-ramp to I-43, and the I-43 southbound off-ramp to WIS 23, is closed.

Various lane closures exist on northbound and southbound I-43, between Smies Road and Amsterdam Road in the Town of Holland.
