Public meeting set for improvements to WIS 164 in Waukesha County

Meeting to focus on proposed improvements
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Southeast Region in Waukesha is announcing a public information meeting to discuss the proposed improvements to WIS 164 from Henneberry Avenue to I-43. This section of roadway includes all of WIS 164 within the village of Big Bend. The meeting is scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. on May 30 at the Big Bend Village Hall, W230 S9185 Nevins Street, Big Bend, WI. The meeting will follow an informal, open house format.
The proposed project includes reconditioning WIS 164 from Henneberry Avenue to I-43. Within the village of Big Bend, the roadway will be reconstructed with concrete pavement. New traffic signals will be installed at the intersection of WIS 164 and County L. WIS 164 will be closed to through traffic during construction. Construction is currently scheduled for 2013.
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project. Maps showing the proposed improvement will be on display. Representatives from WisDOT and the project team will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
