I-39/Maple Ridge Road interchange ramp closures begin Tuesday

May 25, 2012

Local motorists advised to plan ahead, allow more travel time to avoid delays

At approximately 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 29 crews plan to close two of the I-39/Maple Ridge Road interchange ramps:

  • The southbound I-39/US 51 off-ramp to Maple Ridge Road
  • The northbound on-ramp to I-39/US 51 from Maple Ridge Road

The closures are necessary for crews to reconstruct the ramps on new alignment. The ramps will remain closed through Tuesday, August 21. No detour routes will be posted. Local motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow more travel time to avoid delays.

The schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions.

Work on the interchange, located in the city of Mosinee and village of Kronenwetter began in April 2012. The $10.8 million project includes the reconstruction of the interchange and local road connections. Work also includes I-39 pavement and signing improvements.

The ramps south of Maple Ridge Road will be closed from approximately late August to late October. No detour routes will be posted. Construction is scheduled for completion by November 2012.
