Meeting to focus on proposed pavement replacement of I-94
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northwest Region in Eau Claire is announcing a public information meeting to discuss the proposed pavement replacement of I-94 near the city of Eau Claire from WIS 37 to US 53 in Eau Claire County. The meeting is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. on June 13 at the town of Washington Municipal Building located at 5750 Old Town Hall Road in Eau Claire.
The proposed improvements to I-94 include new concrete pavement, new bridges over the east Lowes Creek crossing, wider eastbound bridges over WIS 37 and County F for traffic maintenance, and longer ramps at WIS 37 and WIS 93. The WIS 37 pavement beneath I-94 and the pavement on the ramps at WIS 37 and WIS 93 will also be replaced. Construction is currently scheduled to begin in the summer of 2013 and be completed in the fall of 2014.
The meeting will be an open house format with a formal presentation scheduled for 6 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project. Maps showing the proposed improvements will be on display. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
