Meeting scheduled for US 41/WIS 47 interchange construction in Appleton

Work planned for 2013

(Green Bay) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region is announcing a public information meeting to discuss the proposed reconstruction of the WIS 47 (Richmond Street) interchange at US 41 in the city of Appleton in Outagamie County. The meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 4 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Marian University in Room 001, 720 Association Drive, Appleton. Please enter through the main front entrance where a receptionist can direct you to the meeting room. A short presentation is planned for 5:10 p.m.

The proposed work consists of improving and reconstructing the US 41 / WIS 47 Interchange in 2013. WIS 47 (Richmond Street) will be open to through traffic during construction; however, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Access to / from US 41 will be detoured to County E / Ballard Road. New right of way and temporary easements are needed as part of the project.

The meeting will follow an open house format. Property owners, businesses and individuals are encouraged to attend as convenient during the hours listed. Maps showing the proposed improvements will be on display and WisDOT representatives on hand to discuss the project on an individual basis.

People who are deaf or hard of hearing and require an interpreter may request one by contacting Matt Haefs or Kim Rudat. To allow time for arranging assistance, please call or send email no later than three working days prior to the meeting.
