Eastbound WIS 29 lane closure scheduled in Marathon County next week

Crews are planning daytime, single lane closures on eastbound WIS 29 between the US 51/WIS 29 east interchange (Rib Mountain) and Business 51 (Rothschild), beginning Monday, June 4 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The lane closures are necessary for crews to complete routine bridge maintenance on the Wisconsin River bridge and the bridge over Business 51. Work is scheduled for completion by the end of the day Thursday, June 7.

Motorists are asked to slow down in the work zone and be alert for slow moving vehicles. To avoid potential delays, motorists may want to use alternate routes.

The work is subject to change based on weather conditions.
