Governor Walker approves project at Fond du Lac County Airport

Governor Scott Walker today announced a $146,581 project to improve pavements at the Fond du Lac County Airport.
Michael Gabor, airport engineering specialist with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), said the project involves the crack filling and seal coating of the airport’s pavements. This routine maintenance by the Bureau of Aeronautics extends the life of existing pavements to avoid costly reconstruction.
The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of summer.
Funding Breakdown
- State = $5,790
- Fond du Lac County = $5,791
- Federal Aviation Administration = $135,000
Fond du Lac County Airport has two paved runways. The primary runway is 5,940 feet, while the secondary runway is 3,600 feet.
