Southbound I-39/US 51 freeway closures, detour scheduled next week

Three nighttime closures necessary to set Maple Ridge Road bridge girders

Crews plan to close southbound I-39/US 51 between WIS 153 and the Kowalski Road overpass from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Monday, June 4, Tuesday, June 5 and Wednesday, June 6.

The closures are necessary for crews to set bridge girders for the new Maple Ridge Road interchange. When the southbound lanes are closed, traffic will be detoured via the Business 51 interchange (Exit 186), Old Highway 51 and Maple Ridge Road.

Motorists are reminded to drive with caution near the work zone and along the detour route. To avoid potential delays, motorists may want to use alternate routes.

The schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions.
