US 51 lane closure scheduled in Iron County next week

June 8, 2012

Crews are planning single lane closures on US 51 in the town of Oma, between Layman’s Road and Sand Hill Road, beginning as early as Monday, June 18.

The lane closure is necessary for crews to apply an epoxy overlay on the Layman’s Creek bridge. During the closure motorists can expect to encounter temporary traffic signals. Work is scheduled for completion by Friday, June 29.

Motorists are reminded to slow down in the work zone and be alert for slow moving vehicles. To avoid potential delays, motorists may want to use alternate routes.

Work is subject to change based on weather conditions and construction status.
