Northbound I-39/US 51 freeway closure, detour scheduled tonight

Crews setting bridge girders for Maple Ridge Road interchange

Crews plan to close northbound I-39/US 51 between WIS 153 (Mosinee) and the Kowalski Road overpass (Kronenwetter) just before midnight on Friday, June 15 until 3 a.m. Saturday, June 16.

The closure is necessary for crews to set bridge girders for the new Maple Ridge Road interchange. When the northbound lanes are closed, traffic will be detoured via the Business 51 interchange (Exit 186), Old Highway 51 and Maple Ridge Road.

Motorists are reminded to drive with caution near the work zone and along the detour route.

To avoid potential delays, motorists may want to use alternate routes.

The schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions.
