Changes coming to the De Pere roundabout in August
(Green Bay) The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region office in Green Bay is announcing WisDOT staff are available to present the upcoming changes to the roundabout at the eastern end of the Claude Allouez Bridge in De Pere to groups and organizations. Beginning in August, the roundabout will be reconfigured with new lane markings and signs to further improve mobility through the roundabout, easing traffic flow. Drivers need to be aware that their lane choices will be changing.
The Claude Allouez bridge roundabout was the first multi-lane roundabout in northeast Wisconsin, providing safety and mobility at this new intersection. With the new configuration, WisDOT anticipates the number of minor crashes should decline.
Groups interested in having a WisDOT staff member speak at their event or meeting concerning the future Claude Allouez roundabout configuration should contact Kim A. Rudat by phone at (920) 492-5743 or email at kim.rudat@dot.wi.gov.
