Governor Walker approves $55,000 project at Dodge County Airport

June 26, 2012

Governor Scott Walker today announced a $55,000 project to improve pavements at the Dodge County Airport in Juneau.

Eric Johnson, airport development engineer with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), said the project involves the crack filling and seal coating of the airport’s pavements. This routine maintenance by the Bureau of Aeronautics extends the life of existing pavements to avoid costly reconstruction.

The project is scheduled for July.

Funding Breakdown

  • State = $1,375
  • Dodge County = $1,375
  • Federal Aviation Administration = $52,250

Dodge County Airport has two paved runways. The primary runway is 5,060 feet, while the secondary runway is 4,285 feet.
