Governor Walker approves $640,000 project at Monroe Municipal Airport

Governor Scott Walker today announced a $640,352 project to build a new airport terminal at the Monroe Municipal Airport in Green County.
Michael Gabor, airport engineering specialist with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), said the new terminal building will replace the 27-year-old simple structure and add needed space for pilot and airport business activities.
Design work will be completed this year, with construction expected to begin in spring 2013.
Funding Breakdown
- State = $20,176
- City of Monroe = $20,176
- Federal Aviation Administration = $600,000
Dodge County Airport has two paved runways. The primary runway is 5,060 feet, while the secondary runway is 4,285 feet.
