Governor Walker approves County K improvements in Green Lake County

June 27, 2012

As part of his efforts to create jobs and make sure Wisconsin is open for business, Governor Scott Walker recently signed a $1.3 million contract to improve eight miles of Green Lake County K between WIS 73 and the Fond du Lac County line, in the city of Green Lake and the townships of Princeton, Brooklyn and Green Lake.

Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, July 9, 2012.

Northeast Asphalt is the prime contractor for the project. Crews will be milling off the existing surface and repaving the roadway.

Construction is scheduled for completion in August 2012.

During construction, County K will remain open to traffic; however motorists can expect to encounter flagging operations and some delays. To avoid delays motorists may want to allow extra travel time or take a different route.

The project will be paid with state and local transportation funds.
