US 51, Layman’s Creek Bridge work rescheduled

June 29, 2012

Work currently scheduled to begin Monday, July 9

Crews are planning single lane closures on US 51 between Layman’s Road and Sand Hill Road beginning Monday, July 9.

The lane closure is necessary for crews to apply an epoxy overlay on the Layman’s Creek bridge. During the closure motorists can expect to encounter temporary traffic signals. Work is scheduled for completion by late July. The improvements had been scheduled to begin in mid-June.

Motorists are reminded to slow down in the work zone and be alert for slow moving vehicles. To avoid potential delays, motorists may want to use alternate routes.

Work is subject to change based on weather conditions and construction status.
