Governor Walker approves WIS 21 Wisconsin River bridge improvement in Adams County
July 11, 2012
As part of his efforts to create jobs and make sure Wisconsin is open for business, Governor Scott Walker recently signed a $137,000 contract to improve the Wisconsin River bridge between the townships of Necedah and Strongs Prairie on WIS 21.
Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, July 16, 2012.
Ram Construction Services of Michigan is the prime contractor for the project. Crews will apply an anti-skid treatment to the surface of the bridge.
During construction, traffic at the bridge on WIS 21 will be reduced to one lane on weekdays using temporary signals. To avoid delays motorists may want to allow extra travel time or take a different route.
Construction is scheduled for completion by Friday, July 27.
One hundred percent of the project will be paid with state transportation funds.
