Governor Walker approves improvements for Fond du Lac County
July 11, 2012
Box culverts are being replaced on WIS 67 and WIS 175
As part of his efforts to create jobs and make sure Wisconsin is open for business, Governor Scott Walker recently signed two contracts totaling $1.02 million to replace box culverts on WIS 67 and WIS 175 in Fond du Lac County. Work is scheduled to begin Tuesday, July 17.
The general contractor is Radtke Contractors, Inc., Winneconne, WI.
The WIS 67 work will take place between Birchwood Drive and County G and is expected to be completed by September 25. The road will be closed with access maintained to local residences. The detour is US 45 and County F.
The WIS 175 work will take place between County B (East) and Lost Arrow Road and is expected to be completed by October 19. The road is being closed, but only one of the two box culverts being replaced will be built at a time, allowing continued access to businesses and residences throughout the project. The detour is WIS 175, US 41 and County B.
This project is needed to improve the condition of the roads and preserve the stream channels.
