Public meeting for WIS 35 project, La Crosse County

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will hold a public information meeting to discuss the reconstruction of WIS 35 from Poplar Street to the US Highway 53 interchange in La Crosse County. The meeting is scheduled from 4:30-7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18 at the Onalaska City Hall, 415 Main Street, in the Council Chambers. There will be a brief presentation at 5:30 pm. The remainder of the meeting time will be devoted for staff members to answer questions and discuss project details.

Proposed improvement features to WIS 35 will be presented at this meeting. The reconstruction proposal is to upgrade the two-lane highway with new pavement and intersection improvements for local streets. The project is currently scheduled for 2014.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project. Maps showing the proposed improvement alternatives will be on display. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
